Deciphering FiDA in “L’Argus de l’Assurance”

Anne-Sophie Morvan, Chief Commercial Officer at LUXHUB, was recently featured in an article entitled “FiDA, the regulatory project that worries insurers” published by L’Argus de l’Assurance – a French print and digital magazine specializing in insurance-related topics. She is notably discussed the FiDA (Financial Data Access) regulation and its impact on the insurance industry.
“An industry regulation focusing on insurance could have been possible, but in this case the overall goal of opening the entire financial industry would not be reached/obtained. This is why FiDA goes one step further”, highlights the CCO.
“A person insured in France who moves to Luxembourg (or to any other EU country), could authorize its new Luxembourgish insurer to access these pieces of information in real time,” she also underlines.
Anne-Sophie Morvan also explains that “FiDA provides a broader view of wealth, such as loans or stock portfolios, for example, and will enable end customers to access more data more easily, including insurance data”.
According to her, “the major difference with FiDA, as it seems to me, lies in the business opportunity for insurance compared to DDA or Dora”.
